  • I haven't been on newsvine in over a week. This is not a bug it is a result of data - people have not searched for Islam Is .... enough to create a data entity Eriq, I did not know you were psychic. Tell me, how many searches does it take and where is "Islam Is" in the table?

  • You don't find it hard to believe that with over 103,000,000 sites out there, no one has used the term "islam is" in their search query enough to generate a possible auto complete suggestion. That doesn't make sense to me. Another highly unlikely scenario.

  • Because those search strings aren't popular enough to make a robust array of xmltable queries. Lack of search string usage equals lack of table population.

  • So since they are a private entity, they can omit what they want? I can agree with that. If that is going to be the case, their reputation for objectivity will suffer and so will their hits. In other words, many will actively seek another search engine and their bottom line will sink.

  • Software glitch huh? I presume the glitch would be to protect bad suggestions from certain key words. Then I would have to presume that the glitch omits ALL suggestions instead of key words as suggested by the spokeswoman and there in lies the glitch.
